- Coach Comments: At our college, we prefer to take an undersized outside and make her our libero, rather than recruiting a player that has strictly only been a libero since she started playing club ball (we have not had one of those in at least 20 years). Liberos that were once outsides understand hitters' tendencies, approaches, hand position, etc. I think the world of Jami and believe she can be a successful outside hitter at a great high school program. She will find her way on the court with her work ethic, maturity, and drive. If possible, try and get one-on-one or small group lessons with various coaches while you have access to the PVA coaching staff. Try and go to different (if time or money permits) college or high school camps this summer because every program teaches technique different and that is how Jami will form her best skill set.

- Club Season Coach Comments: “As far as Jami goes...She has definitely proven herself to be our most consistent player. She can be put into any situation and succeed at it. She may not be a 6' hitter but she has a court awareness and maturity that makes her wise beyond her years. We appreciate her hard work and the leadership she has brought to the team. Without knowing how tall her doctor expects her to grow, I cannot say with certainty what position in high school she should try out for. Also, each high school coach is different in their technique and where they decide to play versatile players like Jami. If I were her HS coach I would want to see her in a defensive specialist/outside hitter role. I think she will grow a couple more inches, but if she continues to work on proper jump training, height won't be a factor for her. She was blessed with great athleticism. I have enjoyed coaching Jami because she is instantly responsive to instruction. That will take her far in all areas of her life.”
