Josie Harrison '19 Recruiting Profile

I look forward to my college years where I expect to learn and grow in the healthcare profession.  My goal is to major in either Nursing with the option of further advancement into Practical Nursing or Physical Therapy.  I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both academically and athletically.  I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an impact on your program.

As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college sports career, I will be dedicated to my team and strive to be an asset in all areas of the game including defense, hitting, setting and serving.  I have been able to adjust to various team situations and play the position that was the best fit for both myself and the team at the time.  For example, my primary position is outside hitter, but I have played setter, offside and even middle on an occasion.  More importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the court, knowing the way I carry myself is a reflection of my team, my coaches and the school.  I am dedicated to continuing to improve myself.  You can find me in the weight room or in the gym practicing any opportunity I have.  Each year I set personal goals and work to accomplish my goals.  This effort has led to my current success earning a starting varsity position in all sports (volleyball, basketball, softball and track) my freshman year in high school, and as a sophomore a school record holder.  As a three-sport athlete, I am ready to be a leader on your team.
