Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Madeline Lee and I am a senior at Sublette High School. I have a passion for volleyball that dates back to my elementary years. Having my mom as a middle school and a high school coach made being in the gym, at a young age, very accessible. As I've developed and improved through the years, my true love and passion for the game has grown. Continuing my volleyball career in College/ Junior College is a dream of mine and I believe that I have the talent and the work ethic to do so at the next level. I also play basketball and I am dedicated to my strength and conditioning, spending countless hours in the weight room. During the summer I have played on a summer basketball league in my home town, have played on a summer volleyball league with my school, and also lifted weights to grow stronger for the upcoming volleyball season. In addition, I will continue to participate in club volleyball during the winter season for Western Winds located out of Dodge City. Through my junior year, I have maintained a 3.95 GPA in my curricular studies and I am very active in various clubs and organizations in my school, my community, and throughout the state of Kansas. I aspire to keep my goals high and pursue a career in Pediatric Ophthalmology. Working hard and giving everything 110% is what I was raised to do, no matter the cost. I believe that success shouldn't be taken lightly, and I strive to be the best that I can be. I feel that my knowledge of the game, hard work on and off the court, and leadership qualities will be a great benefit to your college and your program.
