Personal Statement
Throughout my collegiate journey, I look forward to being a successful student athlete. I would like to graduate with a degree in the Medical, Spanish, or Education field. I would then take the skills gained in college to better my community, help others, and facilitate change.
I would be a great candidate for any team because of my strong work ethic. No one works harder, puts in more time, or is as vocal on the volleyball court. I have been recognized many times for my work ethic throughout my educational and volleyball career.
I have many qualities that make me a unique individual. I believe strongly that one should be of service to their community. Currently, I am a member of Crusaders For Life, Student Ambassadors, Student Council, Choir, Spanish Club, Spanish Honors Society, and an upcoming member of National Honors Society. Additionally, I teach non-English speaking children, to speak English at the community library one night a week. Also, I am a mentor and tutor to children from a lower socio-economic background at White's Tower Elementary. I have coached girls from first grade to eighth grade during annual volleyball camps. Being a member of these organizations and having these experiences, has helped me to develop relationships with people from all cultures and ages and become a strong leader in my school.
Academically, I am a strong student. I currently maintain a 3.85 GPA. I have taken two Advanced Placement (AP) courses and am enrolled in a third for the upcoming school year. I was awarded the Infant of Prague Health Award and the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence in the 2016-2017 school year. For the last 8 quarters of school, I have earned a place on the St. Henry District High School Honor Roll. I am looking forward to continuing my academic excellence for the remainder of my high school career.
