Personal Statement
I am a class of 2024, six-position outside hitter. I play high school volleyball at Muhlenberg County High School in western Kentucky and I play club volleyball for SKEVA (Southern Kentucky Elite Volleyball Academy) in Bowling Green, KY. I am 5’11” and hoping to grow a little more given that my father is 6’7” and my mother is 5’10.”
I had a breakout year this past high school season, so while I am a little late to the party, I now realize that I can and will play at the next level. I had 385 kills (4.23/set), led my team in aces, and was second in digs. I am playing on the top 17s team at my club, and hopefully, I can continue to grow and improve as a player like I have in the past year. As a student, I am a full-time college student as a junior in high school and currently have a 5.0 GPA and a cumulative GPA of 4.2. If I continue in this program, I should have an associate’s degree by the time I graduate high school. I have applied to the Governor’s Scholar Program as well, which might assist in funding my future college plans.
