Personal Statement
Hi, I am Hannah Watkins. I have been around volleyball since I was six years old. However, I have been playing competitively since I was in the sixth grade. Currently, I play for Henderson County High School and Evansville United out of Evansville, Indiana.
Education is very important to me. I believe that being a student comes first, then athletics. I hope to pursue my volleyball career in college and after, with possibly sharing my love of volleyball with youth. One of my favorite quotes is by Thomas Edison, he said "Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." I look forward to putting 120% into everything I do as an athlete as well as a student.
I feel like alongside academics is my athleticism. I am a very athletic and competitive player and feel like my athletic ability helps distinguish me as a player and sets me apart from other middle hitters. Although I’m only 6’1” I feel like my ability to visualize and see the court helps me make smarter and more versatile shots.
