I believe that I would make a great candidate for any team because of my ability to play multiple positions (OH/OPP/DS), competitive spirit, and willingness to work hard. I love competing with my teammates to reach our shared goals and being coached by someone who will challenge me as a player. What separates me from other recruits is my competitive drive and will to win. As a player, I pride myself on doing whatever is asked of me to help my team be successful because the team comes first.
Athletics to me mean more than just playing the game, I see it as an opportunity to better myself in other ways such team work skills, adaptability, and of course maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Like most high school athletes, my schedule is very busy between school/studying, volleyball practice/training, and working a part-time job as a lifeguard. However, I feel I’m able to successfully manage my time, which I believe will prepare me for life as collegiate student-athlete. If given the opportunity to continue to play the sport I love while getting my education, I hope to push myself to be the best student-athlete that I can be both on and off the court. My goal for college is to be the best teammate and player I can be, graduate with my degree and take my education and the life lessons I’ve learned thru the sport of volleyball to be successful in my post-college career.
Lastly, I feel as though the energy, passion, drive, and undeniable will to win makes me a great asset to any team or program. All that I need I need is an opportunity and I promise you that I will put in the work...blood, sweat, tears and all. Heart over height.
