Olivia Thomas '17 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball is my passion! I do everything I can to strengthen my playing ability, whether it's physical or mental. I am very hardworking and I love a challenge. I want to do things that make me better both on and off the court. If an adult leader or coach tells me to do something, I will listen because I know they are trying to make me better.  My coaches tell me I'm very coachable. I will treat all team members and coaches with respect and citizenship. I am a team player, and I'll always do my best to do what is right for the team.

               My goal is to play for a Division 1 college. It is my dream, and I would be very thankful if I had the opportunity to play Division 2, 3 or NAIA as well. In other words, I would be very happy playing volleyball during my college experience. However, academics are most important. As you review my credentials, please note that my GPA is around a 3.9. I will work the hardest to become the greatest.

               One of my best attributes is that I always have a good attitude, I will always do my best to pick the team up while we're down. I won't quit, because that is self-indulgent and it lets the team down. I'll try my hardest to improve being a volleyball player every day, on and off the court. I won't ever talk back because I respect my coaches and teammates. Overall, I hope this experience will help who I am as an athlete and a young woman.
