My name is Gracie Eckerle and. I’m currently an incoming senior at Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, Ky coached by Molly McDermott and a 17 Blue player at Tri State Elite coached by Kevin Lucas and Buck McCoart. My primary goal is to find the right academic and athletic fit for my college experience. I’m looking for a team and school that represents who I am and is similar to the amazing teams, coaches and schools I have been fortunate to play for in the past.
I started playing club volleyball at the age of 6 and school ball beginning in the third grade. I have played many positions and have recently settled into the role of an OH/DS or libero. I earned the Liberó position this year as a junior at Notre Dame Acdamey which is a school rich in volleyball tradition. My club team (TSE) coached by Greg Ulland competed in AAU Nationals this June and finished 9th in the country in the open division in Orlando.
I am most proud of the fact that I am a versatile player yet strong enough in my ball control skills to lead my team in not only back row play but also as a leader on and off the court. I also excel in the classroom by participating in honor classes and as a member of the National Honor Society.
I firmly believe I would be a strong addition to a college team on and off the court. I love this sport and I hope to continue challenging myself and being part of a team aiming for success!
