Personal Statement
My love for volleyball became clear to me the minute I started playing in middle school. I began with simple middle school practices and games and eventually evolved into high school volleyball and competitive club volleyball. The thrill of an amazing dig is an indescribable feeling I have grown to love. Throughout my years playing volleyball I have made memories and life long friends that will stay with me for the rest of my life. These memories and feelings associated with volleyball I have gathered through the years is why I want to further my athletic career playing collegiate volleyball at a college that best suits me.
Along with the memories and feelings I have cherished through the years, I have also been exposed to numerous amounts of the different levels of competition. This variety of calibers I have played with gives me, as a player, an advantage to a team because I can adjust to different levels of skills that can enhance my abilities of being a more coachable and dynamic player. I am a leader on and off the court with a persistent attitude that reflects on my teammates. The determination I have as a player sets me apart from other athletes and gives me an advantage most athletes don't have.
In the classroom, I am able to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.98 while playing competitive high school varsity tennis, volleyball, and club volleyball. I am also an active member in NHS and participate in volunteering at local shelters. I am a hard working student that keeps a close relationship with my instructors to ensure a clear understanding of the criteria that can reflect my best work ethic. I plan to further my career in college by getting a degree in Athletic Training and later pursing Physical Therapy. With these expectations, my goal is to find a college that best suits me athletically and academically.
