Personal Statement
My junior year was a year of tremendous growth. I was asked to switch from being a middle blocker to an outside hitter, after playing middle for three years. My coach gave me a chance, and I proved my versatility by having the most kills and the best hitting percentage on my team that year. While having to adjust to a new position, I also was a dominant back row player and a captain. I learned confidence, teamwork, and leadership through the past three years as a varsity starter. I am a very consistent and versatile player in practice and in games. I want to be challenged athletically, but I also want to be extremely challenged academically. I believe I have the work-ethic, leadership, and motivation to be a successful student athlete at a school that is competitive both athletically and academically.
