Sicily Fontaine '24 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my life I have aspired to be an ambitious and driven student athlete. That is only a few attributes that would make me an excellent candidate for any team. To name a few more; my family, coaches, and I would describe myself as coachable, a team player, encouraging, dedicated, responsible, reliable, supportive, but most importantly I always try to be a leader that I would want to follow on the court. I started playing volleyball and soccer at a young age; and I have always aspired to play at a collegiate level. As a freshman, I started for varsity in both volleyball and soccer. I was nominated by the district as Freshman of the year, and all district. Each year I continue to get honored with multiple awards for my athletic success. There have been several articles written about me in the Shreveport Times and Bossier Press Tribune. This year I was nominated as the Athlete to Watch For and obtained and surpassed my goal of 500 digs. Off the court, my determination doesn't stop. I maintain good grades and am actively involved in clubs in my school. I am a part of the Beta Club, talented theater, freshman mentor, Student Council Class Representative,  and am an active member at my church.  I have spent my entire high school career bleeding Viking Blue and my passion for athletics is unmatched by many females.  It is these qualities that make me an amazing candidate for a future collegiate athlete.
