Personal Statement
My volleyball career started when I was just 12 years old. However I just recently discovered how passionate I was for this sport. My freshman year of high school, I made the volleyball team at St. Louis and have been a member of the team ever since. Sophomore year, I started varsity and was named a 2nd team all district player. This year, as a junior, I started varsity and was named captain of the JV team. I have attended some college camps and through my attendance of those camps as well as being a varsity starter, I have truly realized my passion and how much I would love to further my career. As far as my collegiate goals, I am pretty undecided. I have some idea of what I want to do with my life but am not certain. One thing I am certain of though, is that I would love to play volleyball at the collegiate level, whether that be a Junior College or a 4 Year University. I am a good candidate for any team because of my work ethic. You will never see me walking during practice and I will always give 110% in every drill we do, no matter how tedious. I am different from other recruits in that I am a team player and I do what is best for my team, whether I play or not. I am a hustler; I will always be scrappy and will never let the ball hit the ground without laying out. My hard work not only benefits me on the court, but also in the classroom. My GPA is very high because I study and work hard to get the best grades that I can attain. Many people have told me that I light up a room when I walk into it because I have a very bubbly personality, am constantly smiling and making jokes, as well as getting along with almost everyone.
