Personal Statement
As a student-athlete, I work very hard to excel athletically and academically. I started playing club volleyball at 15U where I developed a strong passion for the game and worked hard to improve every chance I was given. My hard work during my 15U season didn't go unnoticed as I got invited to play on the 18U club team the following season. This was a huge opportunity for me that caused me to have to work harder than I already was to compete with the older players on my team. I improved immensely throughout this club season. This year, as a 2021 graduation year athlete, I'm again playing on the 18U club team where competition is stiff and I am pushed to further excel and grow. Now I am looking for opportunities to continue developing my volleyball skills by playing at the collegiate level.
Playing volleyball competitively has left me with a pretty hectic schedule at times but has caused me to develop good time management skills in order to be successful academically. In addition to athletics, I'm also motivated to be a part of my school community by being a part of the Link Leader program to help freshmen in the transition from middle school to high school and serve an example for the underclassmen.
I hope to find the right school to continue to pursue volleyball and contribute to team success while also learning in the classroom and preparing for a career that I'll have as much passion for as I do volleyball.
