Personal Statement
My first few years of Club volleyball I was an all-around player, ready to jump into any position the coach wanted me in. Upon transferring into a different high school, I wanted to become more focused on one position, libero. Over this summer, I spent a lot of time playing beach volleyball and focusing on becoming a better defensive player. I became a libero for my varsity high school team, and then starting libero for my club team this year. Although I am a very versatile player, becoming more focused on one position has made me a better player for my team. Being the libero for my teams comes with being one of the loudest players on the court, and I feel I can confidently say I'm a loud, energetic player who wont give up on any ball. Going into college I want to focus on my academics and hopefully find a career I love in the medical field. While focusing on and achieving my academic goals, I still want to be able to stay active in the sport I love.
