I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember. My love for sports began in kindergarten when I was handed my first lacrosse stick. From then on I have participated in soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, track, basketball, and volleyball. I have had a passion for volleyball ever since I attended my first camp in 5th grade and it has helped me to develop my game tremendously over the years. Focus, grit, and determination are a few words that define the way in which I live my life. I have always put school before athletics and made sure to maintain my grades along with my athletic achievements. I enjoy the late nights studying and doing homework in order to receive a good grade on a test, the constant need to perform better and always put forth my best effort has benefited me dramatically in both my athletic and academic career thus far. By being able to manage my time, I have had the ability to perform under high pressure circumstances as well as be a team leader both on and off the court. By playing sports my entire life I have developed the ability to take corrections and immediately apply them to my life. My strengths as a player include my coachability, versatility, aggressiveness, and my ability to understand the game. My goal throughout this process is to find the perfect fit both academically and athletically for myself. I believe that by having sports play a huge factor in my life, I have evolved into the athlete that I am today and I am extremely excited to pursue both my academics and athletics at the collegiate level.
