My name is Marlena Wright, I'm a junior in high school and I’m passionate about playing volleyball. Before I discovered volleyball I spent most of my life playing soccer, but I always felt that it wasn’t the right sport for me. Then in 7th grade, I made the volleyball team and it was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Being able to continue playing the sport I love at a collegiate level would allow me to pursue the sport that brings me joy. Throughout playing volleyball in high school, it has taught me to be patient and preserve. Although my team didn’t have a big winning streak this season we were still able to show up to every game willing to play our hearts out. Being apart of a team is a huge commitment. Both on and off the court I'm committed to working hard and I plan to do this throughout college. While maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.8 while taking AP courses, I am ready for a higher level of education that will challenge me both in the classroom and on the court. As of right now, I am unsure of a specific major but, I am interested in sports medicine, kinesiology, biology, and sonography. Thank you for your time,
Marlena Wright
