My name is Jordan Ryan and I'm a 9th grader at Detroit Country Day School in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. At Country Day I played my first year of varsity volleyball and I loved it! Challenging myself to be the best I can be is very important, and making a varsity volleyball team as a freshman with only one year of experience was a big achievement for me. I loved the school season so much that I decided I wanted to play club volleyball for Michigan Elite to get even more experience. The biggest achievement in my volleyball career was when my school team won our first district championship in over 30 years. I am a very hard-working player and I push myself as well as my teammates to be the best we can be.
School and grades, along with sports, are also very important to me. I strive to be my best and hold very high standards for myself. I am very committed and motivated and I believe commitment and motivation is the key to success. I also enjoy many other activities including photography and art. My lifelong goal is to continue volleyball at the collegiate level. I am also very interested in sports medicine and plastic surgery and hope to receive my degree in one of those subjects.
