Personal Statement
Energetic, Driven, Smart, Determined, Desire to Lead, Encouraging and Hardworking are all qualities that have served me well since I began playing volleyball at 9 years old. Ever since my first time stepping on the court I fell in love with this fast paced, win by two game.
Volleyball has always been something to which I've devoted maximum effort in order to become the strongest player I can be. I've worked hard to have an extensive volleyball IQ so I'm able to play every position on the court. I feel confident that I can step into any position to support my team. This work ethic has developed me into a well balanced player and has enabled me to play all six rotations for both my high school and club teams the last three years. That being said my passion has always been hitting from the right side. I was born a "lefty" and the right side just seems to fit!
I take pride in being a player others look up to as a leader and also in being one they can come to on and off the court. These types of skills and the things I've learned from my coaches and teammates through the years have enabled me to help my teams in many ways but, have also benefited me greatly off the court. The skills and discipline volleyball has taught me have been an asset to me personally as I work with my high school Student Council, Girl Scout troop, Future Farmers of America team, Middle School mentees as well as my love of working with special needs kids.
My ultimate dream is to have the privilege of playing collegiate volleyball where I can apply my unique skills and a lifetime of training both on and off the court. I view myself as an asset and I am confident I will be the kind of player a coach and my teammates can count on to be committed and faithful to the team's goals and vision for a united volleyball family.
