Aubrey Wrubel '19 Recruiting Profile

 My love for volleyball started at a young age because it was a sport that my mother played. I began playing club volleyball in fifth grade and I've since played every position. Although I was put into some positions that weren't my favorite, I stepped up and did what was best for my team and it made me a better player physically and mentally. I've learned to be a gracious winner,  but more than that, a better loser. I've learned to overcome hardships both on and off the court, most of all in my freshman year in high school. Personal trauma my freshman year taught me to cope with tragedy and learn to overcome hardships in life. Although my GPA my freshman year was nowhere near my capabilities, I am very proud to have maintained the GPA that I did, after what I faced.

   One of my passions in school is being a part of the LINKS program. The LINKS program is students helping kids with Autism with their academic, athletic and social skills. I love to see the impact I have on their lives. But most of all I love the impact they've had on me.
