Personal Statement

My goal is to continue playing and progressing my skills to the next level.  I have played a setter position the majority of my career due to my court awareness and experience.  As the level of play has increased, my height has been a challenge in a 5-1 offense.  My club coach recognized my passion to play and moved my position to Libero.  I have been embracing this position, now for 2 seasons and love the challenge and opportunity of a new position.  I have found that my experience as a setter is very helpful to the team and the understanding and importance as a libero is key to success of all on the team.  I work hard for my strong grades in advanced and honors classes.  I have not taken any easy schedule and push my self academically to accomplish the best grade available.  This is the same work that I put in my passion to play.  I want to excel and accomplish the position I am there to play and support the team in their goals. I am always willing to do what the teams needs of me to help.  I do a lot of coaching at the younger age groups and see this to be another goal down the road.
