Personal Statement
I first fell in love with the sport of volleyball when I was in 7th grade at the age of 12 years old and quickly focused the majority of my athletics to the sport. As a freshman I was awarded MVP on the JV team and as a sophomore I was awarded MIP on the varsity team. I take a lot of pride in my dedication and achievements to the sport both on and off the court through hard work in practices, team camps, and open gym time. During the off season, I play at the highest level possible which has helped me to continue to grow and learn as an athlete through these experiences. One of the things that makes me stand out from the other girls is that I am one of the youngest player on the court with the most stats.
One of my biggest goals is to play collegiate volleyball for a top university. I believe I have the drive to be successful both academically and athletically because I am always pushing myself to be the best. I have learned to do this through team work, leadership skills, and having a strong personal commitment. I also take a lot of pride in my academic status which I think speaks about my true character as a person. Overall, I know I have the capability to become a valuable asset to your team and look forward to a great college experience.
