Personal Statement
My name is Evelyn Silverman. I am in the class of 2021 and currently have a 3.0 G.P.A. I have a passion for volleyball and athletics in general. I love being part of a team and working together to meet common goals. I grew up mostly in Tennessee and played volleyball with Mid-Tn Volleyball Club in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and at Father Ryan High School in Nashville Tennessee. In the middle of my freshman year, my family had to move to Michigan, and I had to change schools and start from scratch in every aspect of my life. I had to make all new friends, assimilate into a brand new school and enter a new world of club volleyball. Being new and unknown can be be a challenge, but it can also be an opportunity to prove oneself and work extra hard to show others what you are capable of. Last club season I played on a 16 National team at Far Dead Frog Volleyball Club and as a Sophomore and Junior played and started on Varsity at Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School. I am adjusting and striving to be the best person, student and athlete I can be. I have a saying that if you're going to do something, be excellent at it or don't do it at all! I work very hard on the volleyball court and have a tremendous love and knowledge of the game. I hope to continue playing at the college level. I will be pursuing a career in business and hopefully will own my own business one day. I am independent and full of life, and I don't believe that any goal is too big to achieve if one puts their heart and soul into it!
