Hello my name is Haley Lemkie I am a DS/Libero and have been playing volleyball since 5th grade at Inside Out. I have been attending Ravenna Public School’s my whole life where I have participated in volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. I have also been a member of student council, FFA, and currently apart of the National Honors Society. I have always focused really hard on doing the best I can in school and on the court which I plan to continue doing so in college.
Besides my freshman year on varsity, throughout high school I had Tracy Lemkie (my mom) as the head coach. Having my mom as a coach pushed me to work harder because she always expected the most out of me. My Sophomore year I played many different positions. I started off as a libero, then moved to outside then ds and finally finished the season as a libero. My Junior year my mom was also my coach and again I played many different positions. I started off as an outside hitter. Then moved to ds/libero and finally finished the season off as a setter. Playing a variety of positions has taught me to be a very flexible person and play where ever I am needed to the best of my ability.
After high school I plan to peruse my dream of playing college volleyball and taking on a career in either Marine Biology or Veterinary medicine. I am a very dedicated student and have always maintained an A in all my classes while still juggling family, school sports and club sports. I am a leader on the court and off the court and will always be there to bring my teammates up or help them with anything that they need. I am a very hard worker and will do whatever it takes to make myself better as a person, athlete, and student.
