Rachel Harding '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a student athlete with high standards for my personal achievement. I thrive in math and science classes and look forward to being able to continue a rigorous academic path that includes these subjects. I see myself as a successful person in the medical field and as a lifelong athlete. I have years of experience playing volleyball, with club volleyball starting in my sixth grade year, and varsity since my eighth grade year. I have also been the starting setter on my varsity team for high school since my freshman year. I am a very hard worker on and off the court, while having a positive and energetic attitude to be the best teammate and player I can be. I feel I am very coach-able, being able to make adjustments easily without complaints, and that I can bring a lot of fire to any team. My competitiveness drives my motivation to work as hard as possible even in tough situations so my team can be successful. Having good relationships with my teammates and coaches is very important to me, especially as a setter, I rely on communication with my passers and hitters so that we all work together and build trust to be the best we can be. Off the court, I love having a great relationship with my team (like a family) so that we can avoid drama at all costs and have fun while playing the game we all love.
