Personal Statement
At a young age, I fell in love with volleyball. I did everything I could just to get into a gym and play with my passion. Having a team was a big part of my love for this sport. Throughout all my failures and achievements, I knew my team was always there right by my side.
Volleyball has taught me to have perseverance and a strong mind through my 8th grade and freshman years. I suffered a knee injury that I had to have surgery on and was out for six months. Sadly I couldn’t participate in my freshman season but that didn’t stop me. It gave me fire to push beyond my limits of what I thought I could do. Each day I didn’t give up my goal to grow as a player and a person despite my limits. That’s when I knew I wanted to have a future playing past my high school career.
Academically I aspire to reach goals. Despite being a two-sport athlete I keep my grades at and beyond a 4.0. Looking forward I have dreams and goals that I know I can accomplish with your college team, that fits my athletic and academic skills. My leadership, commitment, and talent shine on the court, and I can’t wait to share my passion with your team.
