Personal Statement
I am a 16 year sophomore at La Crescent High School in La Crescent, MN. I would love to make a 4.0 gpa for the rest of my high school career. I plan on attending a four year college and earning my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, then pursuing education to learn to be a Pharmacist. I believe in hard work and character above anything else.
I continue to strive to become a great volleyball player; I practice every single day. I've been playing since I was in the fourth grade and attended Mabel-Canton in Mabel, MN. I moved around seventh grade, and this year has been my first year playing in a club team since then. It has definitely been a great experience so far, and i'm extremely grateful for the opportunity I was given. I have had to work for everything I have when it comes to volleyball, and for that I am glad. I've learned that skill, communication, strength, speed, agility, and understand for the game come with lots of practice and hard work. Although I still have three more years of high school left, I know that whatever happens is in my hands. This is why I continue to practice, develope, and learn more about the game each day. I would like to have a college recognize my hard work and character, along with my skill. I'm a 4-year reciever of the Viterbo "Camper of the Day" recognition. I believe this is because of my attitude towards others on the court. I always smile, and I pick my teammates up no matter what. There's no use for negativity, I believe that once you make a mistake in volleyball, it's best to shake it off and be determined to prove yourself as a better player for the next play. I believe that no matter what happens off the court, stays there. When you play, there's nothing but the game.
I'm determined to play college ball. I love the atmosphere and the competitiveness of the game. I can't imagine my life without the sport.
