Personal Statement

I would love to compete in volleyball at the collegiate level. I have been working hard as an athlete and a student throughout middle school and high school. I have been a successful volleyball player for my high school varsity team as well as my club team. I have also been a successful student and have taken every opportunity to take the most rigorous classes available to me. I have struggled, at times, to complete these classes, but have always had the determination to succeed.  My most difficult course, so far, has been AP Chemistry. I struggled to learn the materials and get the grade that I was hoping for. However, I worked hard and in the third trimester was able to earn an A. This is one of my greatest academic accomplishments so far. 

I am very competitive. I am a hard-working volleyball player. I know what my strengths and weaknesses are and am determined to overcome my weaknesses and exploit my strengths. I create personal goals for myself each volleyball season and a work hard to meet my goals. Each season, I am proud of my growth and look forward to the opportunities of the next season.
