Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Emily Schellhase. Thank you for taking the the time to look through my profile. I currently attend Oakville Senior High School in St. Louis, Missouri and I am in the class of 2020. On my high school volleyball team, I started on the varsity team my freshman year as an outside hitter. For academics, I currently have a 3.7 GPA. Although I am not fully sure on what career I would like to pursue, I know I would like to study nutrition/dietetics or psychology. On the volleyball court, I feel that it is very important to be positive and be a good influence for my teammates. I would make a good candidate for a team because for the past two seasons, I was captain on my club volleyball team and I have also been told that I have a great leadership presence. One big aspect I look for in choosing a school is to know that I will bond well with my teammates and coaches and we can be a family. I would like to play with girls who help me grow as a better player and person.  These bonds will also help us work better as a team on and off the court. Once again, thank you very much for taking your time and looking at my profile!
