Personal Statement
I have been around the game of Volleyball since I could walk. I grew up watching my dad play. He played upper league co-ed tournaments, and often took me along. I developed a passion for it immediately. I played on my first team in the 3rd grade. I have played as much as possible since then. I play Co-ed whenever possible with my dad, I love spending time with him and being challenged by the other adults he plays with. I have played Club ball for 5 years, played Varsity HS for 4 yrs and was a starter 3 yrs. I try to get in the gym every chance possible, I want to continue to improve my skills and be the best player and teammate possible. I want to continue playing after high school because I love the game and I think It will be a great experience for me. I hope to one day become a Coach myself. I am looking for a school and program that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I am prepared to work hard, and be a great teammate and student!!
***I played the 2018 Season at Crowley's Ridge College. I enjoyed my first year of College and had a great 1st season. I played Libero for my team and finished the season with 755 Digs (2nd most in my conference and 11th NAIA), and 57 Aces (5th in conference/19th NAIA). I was named A.I.I. Player of the week in October, and at the end of season I was named 1st team All conference and Honorable Mention All Region. College ball has been a great experience for me and I feel like I've grown as a player and person.
Unfortunately, I have recently learned that my Coach will not be returning next season, so at this time I feel I want to consider all my options and look at the possibility of transferring in the fall. I am looking to play at a College with an established program and good coaches. I want to be a Coach one day so being part of a good program and learning from experienced coaches I believe will benefit me most.
