Emerson Hoerner '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emerson Hoerner and I am a 2026 setter. Since I was younger it has been a goal of mine to continue playing volleyball throughout college. I have tried many sports such as gymnastics, basketball, and track, but nothing has sparked an interest in me more than volleyball. I have been playing since 4th grade, and year round the last few years, yet still get excited for any opportunity to play.My high school and club coaches have complimented my focus and volleyball IQ. I consider myself to be very coachable and willing to adapt to what my team needs. For example, I stepped up to play as a libero on my club’s 18U team when they needed it. My teammates can always count on me to work hard and support them.I will continue to study the game of volleyball, along with developing my skills, improving both my mental and physical game.
