Haydin Henschel '20 Recruiting Profile

My passion and love for the game of volleyball has grown since I was 12 years old.  I played at a competitive level with my Capital City Volleyball team as well as my high school volleyball team for the last four years.  My goals was to be the best player and person I can be.  My parents and coaches helped to support me and be the person and player I am today.  My goal was to be the best all around player in my conference.  My Junior year at Jefferson High I lead my team to Divisional tournament and earned 1st Team All conference and All District.  The prior year as a Sophomore, I was a young team leader at the libero position and helped serve receive and dig my team to the State Class B Tournament. The Jefferson High placed 4th at the State B Tournament in 2017.  I was nominated for Honorable Mention as All-State Tournament  Team as the libero for JHS by the coaches at the 2017 Tournament. My Club Team, Capital City Diamonds earned their birth to the National Tournament in Florida that summer of 2018 where I was the defense specialist.  We were able to play as a team and win our Regional U16 Tournament for the state of Montana.  My work ethic, great skill, and love of the game help me aspire to be the best player and teammate I can be.  It is my aspiration to play for a Division I or II school in Montana, Washington, Idaho, or North Dakota.  It was my dream since I was a little girl to play at this very competitive level as it is what drives me and challenges me.  I also hope to become a volleyball coach and high school or college counselor.  Volleyball teaches great life skills and work ethic that can be applied to real life.  I look forward to visiting and meeting with you to discuss my qualifications and aspirations.
