My name is Emily Champion, and my team just won Nationals in Orlando in 16 Premier! :) I am a freshman (class of 2018) at Elhkorn South. I also play for the VCNebraska during the club season. Personally, I have ALWAYS been the happiest when I am on the volleyball court, pushing myself , or when I am in the classroom working hard to accomplish all of my academic dreams. My athletic goal would be a part of a program that I can contribute to (and help to win) no matter what position I play. I also LOVE the team environment associated with volleyball and becoming a "volleyball family". I think it is important to develop goals individually and with your team, to practice hard and to celebrate your successes both individually and as a team. I am extremely competitive, and it would be my ultimate dream to play on a team that focuses together and ultimately plays for a conference and a national championship! My academic goal is to get the very best education possible. My love for volleyball will never change, but I also know that, ultimately, education comes first. I would love to play at a school where I can embrace the whole college experience, focus on my schoolwork and volleyball, and do well on the court and in the classroom. I like to "give back" to my society, and philanthropy is extremely important to me. I would love a school that embraces that point of view. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement!
