Sidra Wohlwend '21 Recruiting Profile

My future goal is to play on a highly competitive volleyball team while gaining a great education. I have been playing volleyball since I was seven years old. I absolutely love the sport and am a hardworking, competitive and dedicated teammate. I am a dual sport athlete and started playing tennis since I was 5, so play on my high school team and will be captain next year. During my 3 years on the team, we have won 2 state team championships and  were the state finalists this year. I also won the state doubles championships this fall with my partner and was the state doubles finalist my freshman year. I am a founding member of the Vegas Aces Volleyball Club, that was started with my closest friends in 2015. We have now been to Nationals 5 years in a row, and played in the 16u Open division at AAU and GJNC in 2019.  Each time has been an amazing experience and our highlight in 16u was beating the eventual 1st and 3rd place teams at Nationals during pool play! In 2018, we won the national championship at the Detroit GJNC. My team has always been one of the top teams in the Southern California Volleyball Association and was ranked #24th in the country at the end of last club season. I have been the starting libero for my team every year. I am a 5.1 gpa student taking all honors and AP classes.
