Ella Rustand '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello! I have been on Faith Lutheran High School’s varsity volleyball team for three years beginning my freshman season. This year is my fifth season playing club volleyball where I will be playing with Sykora Academy 17s Five Rings. Volleyball is the sport I love! I began playing when I was six years old and quickly realized it was something I wanted to pursue as I grew older. I believe my love for the game is evident when I step on the court. I am a fierce competitor who loves to win but also learns from the losses too. I am very confident in my abilities on the court, but even more confident in what volleyball has taught me thus far. I have learned how to work with many different types of people, how to be a leader, how to be open to criticisms and suggestions, and most importantly, how to be resilient and determined. Even though I have learned these things, I know there is still much more to gain an understanding of.  I am very excited to explore these things during the rest of my high school and college careers. I want to continue to play the sport I love in college as I pursue my goal of becoming a physical therapist.
