Personal Statement
Positive Energy and a "Never Say Die" attitude is what I bring to the volleyball court and classroom. "Achievements are the reward of hard work" is a belief I live by. I am an honors student with over a 4.0 and enrolled in the Sports Med Academy. I earned my Academic Varsity Letter and two Varsity Letters in Volleyball and Track as a Freshman. I was also awarded to the All State Academic Team in Track as a Freshman and All State Academic Team in Swimming as a Sophomore (Varsity Letter as well).
I have been playing nonorganized volleyball since I could walk. My mom played DI Volleyball in college, and taught me the skills and the fun of the game long before I started playing club.
Being fairly new to organized volleyball, starting playing club in 7th grade on a team coached by my mom, I have a love of the game and continue to grow with my skills. I started as a Freshman and Sophomore on my Varsity team earning All League Honorable Mention. As a Junior, I was Team captain and earned All League First Team Honors.
My goal is to play for a collegiate program that will push me to reach my potential both as a student of the game as well as in the classroom pursuing a degree in nursing.
I believe that positive energy on the court and hard work off wins games. It's a "win win"!
