Personal Statement
I have always loved playing volleyball ever since first grade when I attended an elementary school volleyball camp. Since then, I haven't been able to stop playing. Volleyball is such an important part of my life that I aspire to continue playing in college. I enjoy the competitive nature of high school volleyball and would like to experience playing on a college court.
I play a very strong mental game that is supported by my skills. I have a very strong jump serve that's given me my nickname on the court, McNasty. I enjoy imporving my skills and I am a coachable athlete. I bring humor and a smile to practice. I am vocal leader on the court and strive to lead by example to my other teammates.
In the classroom I strive for excellence. I maintain a high GPA and like to take challenging courses to help improve my knowledge. I am a member of National Honor Society, Class President, President of Varsity Club, an Eagle Ambassador (leadership role), and Secretary of Interact Club which plays a major role in our community. I am also an active member in French Club. Another passion of mine is dancing. I have been a member of the Edgewater Dance Academy for the past 15 years.
Not only do I want to attend college to pursue a challenging degree in Engineering, but I am also striving to play college volleyball. I am currently looking at schools in and near New England, but I am open to all options in order to find a college that fits my desire to be a collegiate athlete.
