I have played a wide variety of sports since I was young and have always enjoyed playing team sports. Although I did not start playing volleyball until my freshman year in High School, I soon realized that I had a huge passion for volleyball. It is my favorite sport that I have had the opportunity to play. I like the competitiveness of a fast-paced exciting game and love the feeling of focus and adrenaline while playing. I enjoy the dynamic of playing a team sport and the comradery I feel while sharing the playing experience with my teammates. I enjoy learning from my teammates and my coaches, for whom I have a deep respect. Even though volleyball is a team sport, I like that I can set goals and challenge myself to achieve my personal best each game. I love the feeling of accomplishment after getting a point or helping to win a game. My goals are to continue playing the game I love at the college level. I study very hard and I enjoy academics, but I feel more balanced and a greater sense of accomplishment and happiness when I am also playing sports. I think I am a good candidate for a collegiate volleyball team because I truly enjoy playing, I have a competitive drive, and I always put forth my best effort, whether it is academics or playing volleyball. I take pride in being a hard-worker when it comes to volleyball and academics. My goals for volleyball are always to challenge myself to improve and to push myself to be a significant team member by playing my personal best in each game. Most of the girls I have met playing volleyball are smart, competitive, and have a lot of integrity, so I'm not sure that I am different from other recruits. I only know that I set high goals for myself, both academically and in sports, and that I am driven to work very hard to achieve my goals. I feel the greatest sense of accomplishment and well-being when I know that I am trying my best. I intend to work hard and continue to challenge myself at college, both in the classroom and on the volleyball court. I believe that I have the proper motivation and discipline to be successful in achieving my goals. I hope I have the opportunity to continue playing the sport that I love at college.
