Personal Statement
My goal is to become the best that I can be. Not only as an athlete but as a person. I truly do believe that volleyball has shaped me into who I am today. I go into each day with the mindset of not only trying to better myself, but to better the people around me. I believe everyone has a purpose in life. I believe that my sole purpose is to help others and to be as selfless as possible. However, my goal as an athlete is to take what I learn from volleyball and use it in my everyday life. I have learned what I consider to be really important life skills from playing volleyball. Being an athlete is not just about what happens out on the court or on the field. It's also about the relationships you have with your team and how you use that to your advantage. Watching my teammates succeed brings me immense joy. I offer endless amounts of positivity and love for everyone around me. I am very energetic and carry that with me on and off the court. I believe in hard work and dedication. You can't get anywhere if you don't work for it. I strive for greatness with everything I do. I won't give up and I'll push myself until I physically can't continue on. I have a drive to become the best that I can be which includes never settling for less. I don't set limits for myself because I know I can achieve something once I set my mind to it. I capitalize on making mistakes because that is how you'll physically and mentally grow. I feel as though I define what a true student-athlete represents.
