Julia Murawinski '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julia Murawinski. I am a 6'2" Middle Hitter from Jefferson Township, NJ. I  started playing volleyball my freshman year in high school. I've always wanted to play it because it looked like such a fun sport and my parents have played it also. I was named Most Improved Player my freshman year and 1st Team All Conference, as well as All New Jersey Herald 1st Team. I improved my sophomore year and was named All Conference 1st Team as well as NJ Herald Player of the Year. I was named Captain for the upcoming 2014 season. During the 2014 season, I past the 500 career kill milestone. Following the 2014 season I was named Mugs Media Player of the Year as well as All Daily Record 1st team and All Conference 1st Team. I want to continue this sport in college because I love the game, I love the speed and excitement of the game and I love how its a high energy game. After college I would love to continue doing something with sports even though I probably won't be playing one. I want to be a physical therapist or a teacher. My athletic ability won't only open opportunities for me to play my favorite sport in college but to get a great college education and pursue a career in physical therapy or education.
