Sophia Starace '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Sophia Starace, some personal goals I’ve had for a long time include; Not only paying for college by myself whether that’s threw academics or athletics but also, becoming personally successful in whatever I do, due to my motivation and drive for the team and sport itself. I began playing club volleyball three years ago. fortunately, I made the national one’s team for the club VB in the Q starting my first year where I live, Albuquerque New Mexico.  Ever since then I knew I was going to grow exponentially by the time I got to college, not only so I can better myself, but I can better my current school and future school’s program. This also incudes why I’d be a great fit for your team! I personally believe I’m incredibly hard working and can provide not only great leadership skills but excellent team player efforts to my future team. I’ve been a team caption for almost all the volleyball programs I’ve been involved with. For example, senior year I went to Menaul High School where the girls’ volleyball team was struggling due to the fact that it was a smaller school; Because of that I made it my goal in the beginning of the year to better the program. That includes, me going to the athletic director and coach at the start of the season and creating yearly goals to accomplish, and every week making sure the goals are on their way to team success. I am also interested in self-growth and bettering myself. That’s why I moved from Cibola Public High School to Menaul Private school my junior year; I knew that Menaul was a college prep school and I needed to be prepared for college academically.
