Personal Statement
I discovered my love for volleyball when I was only 5 and playing at the YMCA. This quickly became a passion of mine and when my parents saw my competitive edge they put me into Club Volleyball when I was 8 at the Albuquerque Rebels Volleyball Club. Since then I have always made it onto their National 1 competitive Teams, went to Nationals once and made it into the USA Volleyball High Performance Olympic Training Camp in Colorado Springs. I have been told by coaches that while I am very competitive I am a great leader and extremely coach-able. I have been blessed to be coached by highly regarded coaches in Albuquerque in my career so far. My hope is to be able to continue my Volleyball Passion in college while I prepare myself for my future. My college plan so far is to get my degree in Criminal Justice and or Psychology. I would like to eventually work for the FBI. Academics are important to me as to they open many doors. I am able to balance my school work with the much needed time on the court. I attended a private Christian Academy grades K-8 which gave me a strong relationship with God and taught me amazing morals and values while also giving me strong academic structures. I thrive on my high moral values and integrity because at the end of the day this is what matters the most. I am a very hard worker in everything I do and nothing holds me back. When I was 15 I broke my wrist at the first club tournament and was unable to play for 2 months. This was a blessing in disguise because while I attended every two hour practice 4-5 days per week with my team I focused on what I could do. I Jumped. This perseverance increased my vertical by 5 inches in those 2 months. My motto is Go Big or Go Home and never give up. If you chose me for your school you will not be disappointed.
Thank you for your interest in me.
