I am Selina Siqueiros and I am currently a senior at Mesa Vista High School. My HS career that has brought me so much challenge. Challenges that have made me who I am today. Challenges that have brought me much joy and a sense of such an accomplishment. Being tested from day to day with the responsibilities of being a student, I have been challenged mentally and physically. I have learned so much throughout my HS career. I have learned to be successful with the many tasks of being a student-athlete. Completing assignments and studying while on travel on game day to getting home very late and yet arriving without tardiness to class or practice the next morning. Academics has been of utmost importance to me during my HS career. All my efforts have been made to maintain my GPA of 3.5, with hopes that it would contribute to my future. I have been involved with Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, and Varsity Track & Field from my Freshman Year to present. I am ever so thankful to the teachers who have worked so hard to bring me to the accomplishment of graduation in May of 2014. My HS career has giving me the opportunity to grow with my surroundings, mature and be patient with one another. Being part of the Team for my entire HS athletic career has allowed me to adapt and learn to work with one another. Team work that has allowed me not only to mentor those, but to be mentored as well. I will miss those involved with making me not only a better person, but a better athlete. I do very much hope to continue my journey as an athlete and as a student. Hopes in beginning my new studies towards my future career are ever so present. I very much excited and look forward to an opening door for my future.
