Personal Statement
My name is Rosa Quere. I'm a 5.6 ft libero. I’m french, and moved to New York during summer 2017. I've been playing for 7 years, and started competition 6 years ago. In Paris, I was in a club, (SC9) and in the regional team (Paris and around).
I've experienced lots of different tournaments, levels, and age categories and I think it has helped me develop a mental strength and a capacity to adapt to any type of situation. My experience has also helped me develop a general point of view of the game and understand the different tactics. Finally, I have acquired a great technical level, by playing each year, one, two, three or four times a week.
I did all my middle school at the Ecole Alsacienne, a very good school academically. I am now in 10th grade at the Lycée Français de New York, where I can continue my French studies, while improving my English and practising my SAT. I like maths, physics and computer sciences, and this is why I am interested in the engineering and technology sectors, but also the business area, which has always interested me.
I also play the guitar (9th year) in a great music school. I am organised, enthusiastic and positive, which help me develop my leadership skills.
I think my situation, in term of academics, athletics and character is what colleges are looking for, and I hope I have convinced you on my motivation to play volleyball in college.
