Sarah Green '19 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Sarah Green and I am a 5'11" OH interested in playing collegiate volleyball.  I will graduate from Penfield High School in 2019. This year I received All Greater Rochester and the All-State 5th Team. I am on the AVCA Phenom List for 2017 and was also selected for High Performance Youth A1 Training in summer 2017. Attending the A1 camp in Fort Lauderdale, really showed me the passion I have for volleyball and how much I would like to continue playing after I graduate. As a sophomore, I was a starting MH for the Penfield Varsity Team.  We had an undefeated 50-0 Record and we were the NYSPHSAA Class AA State Champions.  I have played club volleyball for 5 years, this year for VolleyFX on the 18-1s team, Magic. One of my favorite aspects of volleyball is the amount of teamwork and the relationships that must be built in order for success. As a player I think I am definitely someone who leads on the court by communicating at all times. I also stay very positive on the court so that if our team is down or making a lot of mistakes, we can focus more on how we can fix it, rather than dwelling on our errors. I'm not decided on a specific field of study beyond high school, but as of now I have been an honor student my entire high school career. I am extremely excited to take my volleyball career to the next level and look forward to finding a school that is a match for me, thank you!
