My name is Rebekah Detwiler, and I am a outside/ middle hitter. Ever since I went and watched my first college volleyball game, I knew that was what I wanted to do. I joined my schools junior varsity team in seventh grade where I played for 2 years, and in ninth grade got pulled up to varsity. Towards the end of my ninth grade year I became a starter, where we took down the undefeated team in our league to win the county championships. The following year I got stronger and was a starter again. We were undefeated league champions, and I was honored to have earned an all- league award and an all county award. I also joined LI fury that year for my first season of club volleyball. I am always getting better and pushing myself. Where at one season I think my hitting is great, I will come back the next season a totally new player. This year I was made captain, and with my co-captain led my varsity team to be undefeated league champs, as well as receiving an all-conference award. Both on and off the court I work hard at what I do and give it my all. I love to help and lead others to bring my team together and have fun doing the sport we love. I aspire to play volleyball at the collegiate level because I have the drive to play high level volleyball and keep up my academics, as well as have fun and work hard.
