Personal Statement


My goal for my senior year is to finish in the top 10th percentile of my graduating class and for our team to win the North Carolina 3A State Championship. I want to attend a 4 year college, earning a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish with a minor in Sports Marketing. While in college, I wish to continue with my passion for volleyball at a competitive level and I want to be challenged academically, and to expand my cultural and social horizons. As part of this, my plan is to study abroad and obtain internships within my field of study (i.e. with ESPN). Following my bachelor's degree, I wish to pursue a Master's in Journalism, so that I may be best prepared for a career in Sports Journalism and Broadcasting. My dream job is to be an ESPN broadcaster.
