I’ve only been playing volleyball for three years now. My second year I played for NC Volleyball Academy 16 Jade. As a team we earned many achievements including 3rd place at Capitol Hill, got 1st and 2nd at almost all our regional tournaments in the two highest divisions. At all national tournaments we always got to the gold, silver or bronze bracket. I am now on Raleigh 17-K team. MLK day weekend we won 1st place, going undefeated at the 2019 Winter Bump Classic.
This year my school varsity team made it to second round of states. I earned All-Conference and was the starting libero in every match.
Last summer I was invited to be apart of the A1 Junior High Performance National Team. We trained for 5 days then competed for 5 days in Tulsa, OK. My team placed second in the entire tournament, beating some countries national teams.
I am always the first one to the gym and put in many extra hours of practice and workouts to improve my skill. I enjoy continuously pushing beyond my limits to attain new goals. When I think about my future as a collegiate athlete, I want a challenging academic program as well as an opportunity to participate on a volleyball team where I can have an impact. Off and on the court, I am a perfectionist who strives for success through positivity, hard work, and integrity.
**For the past three years I have attended Carolina Friends School, a Quaker-philosophy education where students do not receive GPAs, ranks, or grades. Carolina Friends School focuses on social justice, critical thinking, academic independence, collaboration, and helping others through service. I believe strongly that everyone can have a positive impact on those around them.
