Personal Statement
Being the child of a military couple I am most influenced by them. I see what they do and how important it is to be a person of your word and honor your commitments no matter how small. They have taught me that nothing comes without hard work and effort. If I want it I have to dig deep and work for it.
That is what volleyball is for me. I didn’t have what it took to make my middle school team and it crushed me. I was used to being good at something. Because of that experience I learned that I am resilient and that I can bounce back better than I was before. I always give 110% of my effort to learn a new skill or improve on an existing one. I am the first and last person in gym because I want to be better than I was before.
I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact. I am a natural leader and I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
