My name is Destiny Hunt, and I am a Libero/DS for the class of 2021. Since I first
stepped on the court at the young age of eight, I aspired to one day play volleyball at
the collegiate level. I understand that playing volleyball (or any sport for that matter) in
college is a privilege and that it takes many years of blood, sweat, tears, and dedication.
I seek to present the best version of myself every time I step into the gym, to not only
better myself, but to also be a better teammate for my team.
I am seeking to one day become a Pediatric Emergency Physician, and therefore, my
education is one of my top priority. I maintain a 3.9 Grade Point Average (GPA), while
sustaining my memberships in the National Beta Club, National Honors Society, Native American Student
Association (NASA), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), and the
Academic Booster Club. I also find time outside of school to volunteer for the Collide
Youth group at my home church, Red Cross, and the Robeson County Teen Court.
One of my goals in life is to be a role model and example to my peers and the future
volleyball players who follow my footsteps, while representing my teammates, coaches,
parents, and my community on and off the court. I am searching for the best blend of
high level volleyball and academic excellence. I want to attend a college/university that
will continue to both challenge me academically and athletically. I am open to all options
and will continue to strive for excellence in the classroom and court.
